Brother HL-6050D How To Install
When the machine is connected to the Macintosh via USB
- Once downloading is completed, open the Downloads folder in the Dock and double-click the downloaded file named (dmg). The Installer Disk Image will be mounted on your Desktop.
- Double click the Installer Disk Image, and then double-click the installer package icon named FirmwareUpdateTool.pkg.
- Follow the instructions on the screen. Make sure that the machine is connected to the Macintosh with a USB cable.
- The update will start.
- When the “Successfully Completed” message is displayed, click ‘Done’.
When the machine is connected to the network
- Once downloading is completed, open the Downloads folder in the Dock and double-click the downloaded file named (dmg). The Installer Disk Image will be mounted on your Desktop.
- Double click the Installer Disk Image, and then double-click the installer package icon named FirmwareUpdateTool.pkg.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- The update will start.
- When the “Successfully Completed” message is displayed, click ‘Done’.
- If you have other machines connected to the network, you can update the firmware on these machines by clicking ‘Continue’ and selecting the model you would like to update the firmware.
